Summer Internship Program

Avella Ventures is a project-based venture studio that supports early-stage exploration across healthcare, technology, and creative problem-solving. The Summer Internship Program is a structured, mentor-led experience for high school and undergraduate students who want to develop real-world skills through hands-on project work. Interns work in small teams, receive regular feedback, and complete defined deliverables over the course of the summer.

Program Structure

  • Commitment: Part-time. Weekly hours are agreed upon prior to the start date.

  • Compensation: Unpaid.

  • Timing: Summer (start date and duration coordinated individually).

  • Format: Remote; asynchronous + synchronous.

  • Deliverables: Each intern is assigned a scoped workstream with milestones and final outputs.

Example Project Areas

  • Health education media (development of educational content with professional review)

  • Health equity storytelling (children’s narrative concepts that support representation and health literacy)

  • Public health nutrition (preventing morbidity through societal diet and medication changes)

  • Web and digital development (site improvements and modernization work)

  • Venture research and analysis (market mapping, sizing, and early concept evaluation)

Application Process
